wood as a blank canvas.

While these pieces aren't new, they've only had the delight of accompanying my other originals at my craft shows. But now, I've finally added them into my online shop!

I've been experimenting with wood quite a bit for my art, and these pieces proved to be some of my favorites. There's something raw and organic about putting charcoal and pencil onto a smooth piece of wood. Maybe it's the feeling of going back to the basics... but putting a fun, modern twist on it.

"Fly"

Let me know what you think. :)

And you can bet they'll be joining my other originals and fun handmade items at my two shows this weekend: Love Bazaar and Ghettogloss/Silverlake Art Craft & Vintage Show! Hopefully I'll see some of you there! The line up is amazing, and I'll be featuring those artists and vendors within the next day or two.

Steppie

Just out of curiosity, what are you using to seal the drawings on the wood? They're very cute!!! I love kites!
